Yeah, I’m on a low-buy, but this was CA$4.99 and that’s pretty cheap! 😉 And, the Color Icon eyeshadows are pretty amazing for the price.
I finally went to a Rexall (that’s a Canadian drugstore chain) for the first time in eons, and they have Wet n Wild! I normally order my Color Icon palettes from Well.ca, but they don’t seem to carry the seasonal collections.
So, the Rexall had the Wet n Wild Spring 2015 Silver Lake Collection, and I picked out a fun, warm-toned palette full of bright near-pastels.
California Roll is a happy little palette with four shimmers and two mattes:
- warm vanilla shimmer
- peachy nude shimmer
- wasabi pea green shimmer
- coral matte
- turquoise shimmer
- warm pomegranate matte
I’ve only swatched them so far, and apart from the peachy nude shimmer (top right in the palette), they all seem lovely and smooth. The green shimmer and the coral matte in particular seem really creamy. The peachy nude has the largest shimmer flakes and I foresee fallout with it. The pomegranate was a tad chalky. However, it is well-pigmented like the other shadows, barring the peachy nude.
Here are photos of the other Wet n Wild Color Icon palettes I have:
Comfort Zone (8-pan):
Petal Pusher (8-pan):
I’m Getting Sunburned (3-pan)
Silent Treatment (3-pan):
Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Palettes (the 6-pan type) retail for US$3.99 / CA$4.99 and are 0.25 oz / 7 g. They are made in China.
Wet n Wild is owned by City of Industry CA, USA-based Markwins Beauty Products, Inc., which itself is a subsidiary of Markwins Intl Corp.
Hearing California roll makes me hungry for one! Those colors look so fun. The turquoise is beautiful. I always wanted an toned down orange shade for a transition color for my eyes but haven’t found one yet. Also, I have Comfort zone. I don’t show it as much love as its deserves.

Comfort Zone is great! I also don’t use it as much as I could, though. It’s nice to have good, fun options at the drugstore.

Are you stalking me, cuz I’m wearing COMFORT ZONE TODAY! Seriously, I hardly ever bust that palette out (it get lost in the sea of eye shadows) and TODAY of all days, I decided to wear it. What are the chances?
I also own Silent Treatment trio, and the singles Brulee (I love this one has a matte highlighter, I use it often) and Nutty (taupe taupe taupe!)
One of my biggest regrets in life (ok maybe a little dramatic) was not picking up the original 6 pan palette in Vanity before they were discontinued. And now I’ve seen it being sold on ebay for $20…

Hahaha! What a coincidence. I also have Brulee, but haven’t even unwrapped it yet 😦 Typical! I’m off to Google WnW Vanity….
