I’ve recently been straying from my Satsuma body wash from The Body Shop for this one from Cake Beauty. I am a sucker for most anything lemon-scented, lemon-flavored, or heck, with lemons on it, so I picked up this body wash when it went on sale at Well.ca.
Now, as much as I like Satsuma, I do find it a tad drying on my already dry skin. This new body wash from Cake Beauty has a super rich and creamy texture, and while I woudn’t call it moisturizing, I definitely find it less drying. It shouldn’t make a huge difference in the warmer months, but next winter, I will surely be using Satsuma less and body washes like Cake’s more often.
The scent is just like a lemon vanilla cupcake. Sometimes I like a natural lemon scent, and other times I like a fun gourmand, so this definitely ticks the second box! It also comes in four other scents (all “& Cream”): Coconut, Lavender, Strawberry, and Vanilla. I wouldn’t mind trying Coconut, but really, I’m a lemon girl!
Cake Beauty be Delectable Supremely Rich Body Wash in Lemon & Cream retails for CA$10 for a 236 mL / 8 fl oz tube. It does not contain parabens, sodium chloride, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, GMOs, mineral oil, petrolatum, gluten, or triclosan. It does contain coconut oil and aloe vera. It is made in Canada.
Cake Beauty is based in Toronto ON, Canada.
I scored a GIANT bottle of the Cake Beauty It’s a Slice body lotion at Winners once, it smells like creamsicles!

Coconut & cream sounds good enough to eat.

I usually ignore the b&b section at Winners (since I have a backlog of stuff to use up), but I guess I should poke in now and again, huh?

oh yes, it’s one of my favourite sections besides the shoes section!

Hehe, I make a beeline for the handbags, and then the np/makeup 🙂

Funny, for me: makeup/np > bath / body > shoes > handbags > jewellery/ accessories

Haha! I guess I am usually: bags > m/u > perfume > shoes > clothes > housewares > quick look in guy’s dept > more np by checkout

Oh yes, I forgot, housewares. I never go into the men’s dept b/c the boy is particular. Most I can buy for him are socks / boxers.

Haha, mine can be pretty particular, too, but returns at Winners are easy! It’s rare that I ever see anything there for him, though. Their guys’ selection at my location is poor-ish. Generally only have luck getting loungewear or footwear for him. Or candy.

Oh wow! I’ll have to try this out! You find Satsuma drying?? I’m a diehard fan. It is heavily fragranced …maybe that’s the issue?
