This is just a quick post for Stashmatters, who wanted to know how Illamasqua Powder Blush in Naked Rose compares with Milani Rose Powder Blush in Romantic Rose.
In the pan, they do look a little dupe-y, with Romantic Rose appearing a bit deeper. However, when swatched, you can see that, at least on my warm skintone, Romantic Rose isn’t really darker, but it is warmer. Naked Rose skews blue-pink when compared directly with Romantic Rose, which by comparison looks a tad peachy-pink.
I have not actually tried Romantic Rose yet, but Naked Rose is wonderful and one of my faves.
HTH! ๐

Hahaha! It is gorgeous. I think it might even be prettier than the Clinique Pop blush.

I am always tempted to pick up the Milani blush because of the pretty rose.

It is definitely a head-turner! Just wish their Baked Blushes could be packaged in a similarly pretty way!

Wow Milani’s Romantic Rose swatches way different then how it looks in the pan. I think I need Romantic Rose too. I avoided it because I thought it looked a bit dark but now I’m changing my mind about it lol. ๐

It’s not super-pigmented like the Baked Blushes can be! You can build it up a bit, though I feel it seems a little chalky, at least when swatching ๐

Yeah I have the other 2 rose shades and they are a bit powdery. I like how they go on light though because I have fair skin. Plus they’re so beautiful to look at lol. ๐

Oooh! Thanks so much for doing this comparison for ME! ๐
It is kind of deceptive how Romantic Rose looks deeper in the pan compared to Naked Rose. But NR does have that trick where it looks like nothing in the pan but applies with quite a bit of pigment and depth.
In your swatch, you can reallly see how smoothly Illamsaqua applies onto the skin!
I’m going to put the Milani Romantic Rose blush on my wish list! It’s different enough to justify having it. ๐

But of course! Yeah, the Milani definitely looks a little chalkier swatched than it does in the pan. The Illamasqua is smooooooth. They are different enough, for sure!
