Collection: Misa, Spring 2009, Living On the Fast Lane
I’m disappointed in myself because haven’t reviewed a Misa polish in a while. Misa is, along with Essie, Illamasqua, and Zoya, one of my favorite nail polish brands. The formula is so consistently good!
So here is one of my very favorite Misas: Dirty, Sexy, Money (197). I’m unsure whether the money is being described as dirty and sexy (which seems to make the most sense), or, due to the placement of the comma, money is simply being used as an adjective along with dirty and sexy, à la Swingers [Warning! NSFW: profanity]. But Misa occasionally releases awkwardly named polishes: Date Nights to the Twilight. Forgive, Forget, For Me I Will. Umm…Ur Too Delicious. Huh?
Anyway, whatever the name means, Dirty, Sexy, Money is a midtone teal cream. That’s pretty much it. Not too bright, not too muted, and just right. It applies very smoothly and self-levels; two coats is required for full opacity. This is one of the few polishes that I want to back up.
Misa Nail Lacquer is 0.5 fl oz / 15 mL and retails for US$7.50. It is free of toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor, and dibutyl phtalate (DBP). Misa Cosmetics is cruelty-free and vegan.
Pretty teal color. I want to try the brand!

I got one of these (Red Potion – so I didn’t realize there was an Alice theme, so cute!) in an Ipsy bag a while back. It’s pretty nice. I was quite surprised 🙂 Great review!

Thank you so much! I prefer these now over the OCC lip paints. They are just as vibrant and stay put for hours, plus I can get five of the J.Cat lip paints that will cost me the same amount for one OCC Lip Tar.
Sorry for the delayed response, some of my comments end up in spam so I don’t know if you get when my responses when I reply back. My apologies. Xo.

No worries! 😀 Wow, nice that you like the J.Cat ones better than the OCC. I haven’t tried OCC, but now I’m not that interested, haha!

Hahahah. Don’t get me wrong, OCC is good, but if another company can create more affordable product with the same benefits I’m down on a makeup steal! Lol

Oooh I too, love Misa. I wish they got more recognition. Do you like Misa too because of their square bottles?! 😛 And yes, this shade is so… money. 😉 Yeah back it up!

One of my favourite shades is called Live Without Knowing:
I wish they were more readily available – I buy mine online.

Ooh, I have Live Without Knowing, too, but it’s untried. 😀 It’s moved ahead in my imaginary queue!
Yes, I love the square bottles! They are still a little large and awkward looking, imho (maybe it’s the excessively long cap), but they stack together soooo neatly.

The polish bottles that are the most ridiculous with the proportions is the Urban Outfitters ones! Have you seen them?

They’re so squat.

I tend to avoid UO/Antro, so I just Googled them and omg I love them. (Dammit.) So cute and squat. 😀

They go on sale pretty frequently! I got a few for $0.99!

Love the pastel minty shade and it is also such a pretty colour to wear on. I am a nail polish addict too and I did various posts on nail colours before on my blog. Love your blog and if you fancy a read, check onto my blog too.
