Collection: Zoya 2015 Summer, Island Fun
Today’s polish is from Zoya’s 2015 Summer collection, Island Fun (the cream finish half of Zoya’s usual dual-releases). I also have Nana, Serenity, and Talia from this collection; reviews for those are yet to come.
Cecilia is described by Zoya as a “classic teal” in a cream finish. I know that there are basically teal creams everywhere you look these days, but I think Zoya have a really special one, here! This teal is a little brighter than a true teal, which in my mind is a bit deeper and more muted. It’s also got just the right balance between blue and green, and is vivid enough for summer, yet rich enough for fall and winter. I’d call this a perfect teal!
Application is lovely, as is typical for Zoya, and the polish is fully opaque in two coats. Pigmentation is excellent. The polish dries to a nice, glossy shine.
Zoya Professional Lacquer retails for US$9 and is 0.5 US fl oz / 15 mL. Zoya nail polishes are free of toluene, formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and camphor, and are made in the USA.
Zoya is part of Art of Beauty, a privately held company based in Cleveland, OH, USA.
