Collection: China Glaze 2014 Fall, The Giver (movie tie-in)
Here’s my final China Glaze from last fall’s The Giver collection, which is a tie-in with the movie of the same name. I’ve previously swatched Five Rules and New Birth from the same collection.
History of the World is a very deep violet-toned blue cream with a slightly dusty, greyed tone. It’s a vampy shade, but is just light enough to not appear black, even in dimmer indoor light.
It’s definitely my favorite of the three polishes I tried from this collection, though that’s not really saying too much.
Application was fine. Two coats ended up being perfect.
China Glaze Nail Lacquer retails for US$7.50 and is 0.5 US fl oz / 14 mL. China Glaze nail polishes are free of toluene, added formaldehyde, and dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and are made in the USA.
China Glaze is part of American International Industries (who also own brands like Seche, EzFlow and Ardell), a private company based in Los Angeles, CA, USA.
So what you’re saying is that this is the best of the worst? Hmm, not selling it. 😛
I do like the dustiness of this one.
I guess a sucky collection for a sucky movie!

LOL indeed. I’m not even sure why I bought two of them. I guess they looked “different”, and I’m a sucker for that. They’re not nearly as interesting on the nail. Oh well!
