Happy Tuesday, everybody! I spotted this tag a while ago over at Chubbychicsdiary and it’s been on my mind to do it, too. Here it finally is (yes, I know you’ve all been waiting with bated breath!):
100 Questions No One Ever Asks
1
Do you sleep with your closet doors open or closed?
Closed.
2
Do you take the shampoo and conditioner bottles from hotels?
If they’re nice, yeah. My favorite so far has been one DH brought back for me from a business trip: toiletries scented with Le Labo Rose 31!
3
Do you sleep with your sheets tucked in or out?
No top sheet. Duvet.
I experience rage in hotels where they tuck the sheets in so tight!
4
Have you ever stolen a street sign before?
No.
5
Do you like to use Post-It notes?
I use them on occasion.
6
Do you cut out coupons but then never use them?
Guilty.
7
Would you rather be attacked by a big bear or a swarm of bees?
Have to go with bees. I think it’s far less likely to be able to survive a bear attack.
8
Do you have freckles?
No. Love them, though.
9
Do you always smile for pictures?
Usually.
10
What is your biggest pet peeve?
Rudeness.
11
Do you ever count your steps when you walk?
No.
12
Have you ever peed in the woods?
Yeah.
13
What about pooped in the woods?
Nope! Phew.
14
Do you ever dance even if there’s no music playing?
Not really, unless I’m being silly.
15
Do you chew your pens and pencils?
No. I think I used to chew my Papermate pen caps (you know the little clip part) a little bit in school, but I haven’t done it in ages. Of course, this is possibly because I rarely use pens and pencils nowadays.
16
How many people have you slept with this week?
Whoa there! (Just one, am married. What a nosy tag.)
17
What size is your bed?
18
What is your song of the week?
Rediscovering “Bad Reputation” by Freedy Johnston (no connection to the Joan Jett hit). One of my fave songs back in the day.
19
Is it okay for guys to wear pink?
Of course! (It actually used to be seen as a boy’s color, too.)
…a 1918 trade catalog for children’s clothing recommended blue for girls. The reasoning at the time was that it’s a “much more delicate and dainty tone,” Finamore says. Pink was recommended for boys “because it’s a stronger and more passionate color, and because it’s actually derived from red.”
—Susan Stamberg, NPR

20
Do you still watch cartoons?
Certainly! Recently rewatched The Emperor’s New Groove. The voice work in this, particularly by Eartha Kitt and Patrick Warburton (Seinfeld‘s “Puddy”), is fantastic. It also features David Spade, John Goodman, and Wendie Malick.
21
What’s your least favourite movie?
The Postman. That was a massive waste of time. Not to be confused with the fine Italian film, Il Postino.
22
Where would you bury hidden treasure if you had some?
Buried in the sand on a desert island, with a big ol’ red X on it.

Honey, honey mustard, or ketchup.

Barbecue sauce or mayo?
Hellmann’s.
26
What is your favourite food?
Pizza!
27
What movies could you watch over and over and still love?
I don’t tend to rewatch movies too often, but some hold up really well: Alien, All About Eve, The Maltese Falcon, Terminator 2, and kid’s movies like The Iron Giant and Disney/DreamWorks/Aardman cartoons. I most recently rewatched Matchstick Men. I’ve also seen Pacific Rim three times, and it only just came out last year.

33
Ever gotten a speeding ticket?
No. I don’t drive.
34
Ever ran out of gas?

36

Poached egg, bacon, waffle with blueberries and maple syrup, triangle of toast with orange marmalade, glass of milk, cup of coffee. Of course, I haven’t had a breakfast like this in eons!
37
What is your usual bedtime?
Varies, but typically anywhere between 11 and 1.
38
Are you lazy?
Oh boy, I can be! One of my greatest faults, really. I can be very hard-working, and also incredibly lazy.

A witch. Boring! Never really got into the whole dressing up stuff.
40
What is your Chinese astrological sign?
41
How many languages can you speak?
Sadly, only one fluently. I know a smattering of three other languages, but nowhere near enough to qualify as fluent.
42
Do you have any magazine subscriptions?
I accidentally subscribed, with Shoppers Drug Mart’s Optimum Points, to their beauty magazine, Glow. They’re really half-assed about sending it to me. They didn’t send me anything for four months, and then I suddenly received the June issue. I emailed to complain, and they sent me a second copy of the June issue. Now, I’m receiving two copies of every issue, on different days of the month.
43
Which are better, Legos or Lincoln Logs?
Head says Legos, but as a kid, I absolutely loved Lincoln Logs, and wanted them. I had Lego blocks at home, but never got Lincoln Logs and only got to play with them at school. I’m definitely getting some of those for the peanut when he gets older, if they’re still sold.
44
Are you stubborn?
Yep. Every single one of my family members is stubborn as heck. Growing up was fun times. I think I am usually pretty good at admitting when I’m wrong, though.
45
Who is better, Leno or Letterman?
Conan. Or Jon Stewart. Or Craig Ferguson.

Ever watch soap operas?
No, unless Empire counts. I can’t wait for the next season! Love Taraji P. Henson in it.
47
Are you afraid of heights?
Not really, but I have a fear of falling, which is normal. (Or maybe it’s just the landing part I don’t like.)
48
Do you sing in the car?
Don’t have a car. I certainly do not sing on the subway.
49
Do you sing in the shower?
No.
50
Do you dance in the car?
How do you dance in a car? With your arms? No.
51
Ever used a gun?
No. Wouldn’t mind taking lessons, though. You know, just for the skills.
52
Last time you got a portrait taken by a photographer?
College graduation. Oh wait, wedding. Duh.
53
Do you think musicals are cheesy?
Very much so, but I still love a lot of them—particularly the older ones like My Fair Lady and The Sound of Music. I have my parents to thank for that. I also love Chicago. I can’t stand Andrew Lloyd Webber.
54
Is Christmas stressful?
Yes, if I’m cooking, etc., but in a good way!
55
Ever eat a pierogi?
Yes. It had cherries in it. I think I’d prefer the savory type with cheese.
56
Favourite type of fruit pie?
Lemon meringue or Key lime. I am also unreasonably fond of rhubarb.
Oh, and banoffee pie! My brother and I made one for Christmas a while back, with a tall digestive cookie biscuit crust in a springform pan. I screwed up the dulce de leche, though, and had to whip up a quick toffee sauce instead. The pie looked something like this:
57
Occupations you wanted to be when you were a kid?
Marine biologist. For real, not a Seinfeld reference! I read about Eugenie Clark in school and was inspired. (I didn’t know that she passed away earlier this year. RIP, Dr. Clark.)
58

63
What do you wear to bed?
Pajama shirt and, if it’s not too hot, some kind of comfy lounge pant.
64
First concert?
Neil Finn. ❤ Didn't get to go to any concerts as a kid, not that I was interested in seeing the New Kids On the Block like all my friends were. Toad the Wet Sprocket would have been my first, but I was crushed to discover it fell on the same date and time as my SATs.
65
Wal-Mart, Target, or Kmart?
I never managed to get to a Canadian Target before they pulled out, but I have liked the Targets I’ve been to in the US (Sonia Kashuk!). I try to avoid Wal-Mart as much as I can (I gave in this year for a couple of products I couldn’t find elsewhere, including Drew Barrymore’s Flower and Hard Candy), and I’ve been to a US K-Mart…it was beyond terrible.
66
Nike or Adidas?
Both have fine logos, though I think the old Adidas trefoil logo is classier than the bar logo they use now. My only pair of running shoes are really old Nikes (circa 1993, pretty much vintage by now), and although Adidas sponsors my local soccer team, I’ll go with Nike.
67
Cheetos or Fritos?
CHEETO. But only the puffy kind. Not a fan of Fritos, in any case.
68
Peanuts or sunflower seeds?
Peanuts. Sorry, Mulder.
69

Nope. Are they very good? (ba-dum ching)
70
Ever take dance lessons?
No. Two left feet and all.
71

Already married. But I wouldn’t have wanted to marry a politician. Or a spy.
72
Can you curl your tongue?
No.
73
Ever won a spelling bee?
Yup. Made it to regionals. Goofed on an easy word that I should have spelled correctly. Received a dictionary as a prize (gee, thanks). Winner from my region ended up winning the nationals!
74
Have you ever cried because you were so happy?
Sometimes I squeeze out a few tears when I find something very funny. Not sure if that’s the same thing.
75
Own any record albums?
Like, vinyl? No.
76
Own a record player?
No.

Regularly burn incense?
No.
78
Ever been in love?
Yes.
79
Who would you like to see in concert?
Radiohead.
80
What was the last concert you saw?

81
Hot tea or cold tea?
Slight preference for iced.
82
Tea or coffee?
Coffee.
83

If “sugar” refers to sugar cookies, that. I adore a good sugar cookie!

Already am.
94
If married, how long have you been married?
Almost 60% of my life ago! Loving (almost) every minute of it, too. 🙂
95
Who was your high school crush?
Didn’t have one. How about celebrity crushes?
96
Do you cry and throw a fit until you get your own way?
Never. I think that kind of behavior’s unbecoming in anyone who should know better.
97
Do you have kids?
Yes, one little boy, a.k.a. peanut.
98
Do you want kids?
Would love another kid, yes!
99
What’s your favourite colour?
Red, though I’ve been waffling on that a lot, lately.
100
Do you miss anyone right now?
My parents and siblings.
If you made it all this way, thank you so very much for reading!
Should you choose to do this tag, I hope you’ll let me know in the comments. I’d love to read it! 🙂

oh my gosh, that takes dedicataion.
I’ll have do this Tag one day when I have time and am in the mood! 😛
OMG I haven’t thought about a banoffee pie in years! Why isn’t that more popular?
I dip my chicken nuggets in honey too, and SO thinks it’s the weirdest thing. Shrug, that’s what I had when I was a kid, and I like it.
Ok, besides my SO, you’re the only other person I know who likes Pacific Rim! I went in not expecting much at ALL and I loved it! I’m so glad I saw it on big screen because it makes ALL the difference. The weight and impact of the robot fights – wow. Transformers got nothing on it.
What did you write to the government about?!
I DON’T DRIVE TOO. Wow, are you me? I hate driving. HATE IT. SO MUCH. UGH.
Wow, impressive that you won a spelling bee! And I forgot about that Bad Words movie – was it good? I want to see it.
“Ever heard of the group Très Bien?
Nope. Are they very good? (ba-dum ching)”
GROAN
What kind of contest did you win? I went through a phase where I’d enter draws but I never ever won anything until one day I won a massive gift basket at Shoppers for answering a survey. More makeup, that’s what I really needed, lol.
I get Glow too, but I’m terrible about reading magazines. I just can’t deal, with the 85% ads and 15% content.

I think I had this tag in my draft folder for two months or something. I just did a bit every now and then! It is a time suck.
I’m the only one in my family who dips chicken nuggets/strips in honey. Started with KFC as a kid – my dad would always pick up the honey packets but nobody else would use them, so I tried it and that’s what I’ve loved ever since.
OMG another Pacific Rim fan!!! Everybody else was just bewildered that I liked it so much. I dragged SO to see it in the cinema – I’m a sucker for most anything by del Toro (except The Strain, that sucked). And yes, exactly – it is what Transformers SHOULD have been!
I sent in a form to the government and they sent me one back saying something was wrong and they wanted me to fill in the form AGAIN and resend it. WTF.
I would say I hate to drive, but I literally cannot – no license!
Bad Words was fun, dirtier than I expected, too. The kid in it is adorkable (as is Jason Bateman, I suppose).
Winning makeup is great! What did you get in the SDM basket? That must have been pretty good. I won a gift basket from The Outer Layer in Toronto years back. Some other minor things as a kid, too, but haven’t ever won anything seriously cool.
I honestly just flip through Glow for coupons. I feel like they used to have more in the early years, but now it’s like, nada. Pointless. Never been much of a beauty magazine reader, generally.

Omg, so many answers! I did love the pictures you used in response for some of them. YOU KNOW. JUST FOR THE SKILLS.
Also, Emperor’s New Groove is by far and away the funniest Disney movie, no comparison. The map joke on how they beat them there is still one of my favourite jokes.

Hehe, glad you liked the pics! It’s incredible how many people don’t appreciate that movie. SMH. I loved that map joke, too 🙂
