Collection: Zoya 2015 Summer, Island Fun
Today’s polish is from Zoya’s 2015 Summer collection, Island Fun (the cream finish half of Zoya’s usual dual-releases). I’ve previously reviewed Cecilia and Talia from this collection, and have Serenity yet to come.
Nana (ZP800) is described by Zoya as a “deep summer fuchsia”. It’s a rich, raspberry pink cream. Zoya calls it a warm color, though I do see blue tones in it, as well. I’d say it’s well-balanced between warm and cool. Your skintone will probably make it lean more to one color temperature than the other. It reads a little blue-toned on me, due to my yellow-toned skin.
If I’m honest, this isn’t the most exciting shade. It’s certainly pretty, if this is your kind of color, but I’d mostly wear this on my toes. Not enough oomph for the fingers!
Application is lovely, as is typical for Zoya, and the polish is opaque in two coats. I almost wanted to do three coats, though. It seemed a little too thin and I prefer a plusher look! The polish dries to a glossy shine.
Zoya Professional Lacquer retails for US$9 and is 0.5 US fl oz / 15 mL. Zoya nail polishes are free of toluene, formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and camphor, and are made in the USA.
Zoya is part of Art of Beauty, a privately held company based in Cleveland, OH, USA.
