Collection: Zoya 2015 Summer, Paradise Sun
Mae (ZP794) is described by Zoya as a “warm magenta pink with a micronized metallic pearl finish, reminiscent of vibrant Mediterranean flowers”.
I’m generally not a pink person, but when I do wear it, I like it to be really punchy, and Mae is a perfect pink for my taste. I’d ideally wear it on my toes, as it’s a little distracting on the fingers. It is, as Zoya claims, a warm-toned, medium pink. It’s a vibrant shade, and the metallic shimmer is closer to China Glaze’s amazing glass fleck finish than it is to a regular metallic finish. The shimmer itself is mostly magenta pink, but it does have a hint of silvery sparkle to it, as well.
The formula is excellent and applies very evenly. Two coats gives you full opacity, though I did three for the swatch for a little extra, sparkly depth.
This is a gorgeous summertime shade, and I think I might wear it on my toes for the next couple of weeks, for one last hot weather hurrah!
