The Beauty Blogger Award 4: The Blogger From U.N.C.L.E.

In August, fellow nail polish fan Mirror the Love nominated me for a Beauty Blogger Award! She’s based in Ireland and her blog is focused on cruelty-free and eco-friendly products. Her writing is really wonderful and she covers a range of beauty and lifestyle topics. Please visit her blog if you haven’t already!

I’m really flattered and delighted to answer her 10 questions today.

Mirror the Love’s Questions

Any blogging regrets?
Going on “hiatus” for several years is the big one.

Biggest beauty trend regret?
I have more of a tendency to not follow beauty trends, so it’s probably more like a regret that I didn’t follow one of the good ones!

One product you think everyone should have?
The perfect moisturizer for your skin type.

Not a Holy Grail product, but I like this a lot: Nuxe Rêve de Miel Ultra Comfortable Face Cream, Day, for Dry & Sensitive Skin.

If you were creating your own beauty line, what would you call it?
I’m boring/narcissistic: fivezero.

Have you ever had a beauty “disaster” while doing someone else’s make-up?
Not really. Smudging nail polish, maybe?

Bold eyes, bold lips or both?
Lips, most of the time.

What has been your biggest life lesson so far? (taken from a question asked to me!)
It’s OK to ask if you don’t know or don’t understand something. It’s just stupid how long it took me to get this.

Favourite music video make-up?
I’m not much for music videos, but I’ve always liked English singer/songwriter/model Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s album covers. Helps that she’s stunning, of course!Sophie Ellis-Bextor album covers

What is your favourite make-up remover?
Honestly, I just get whatever’s on sale. It needs to remove waterproof mascara—that’s all. I’m currently on a bottle of Marcelle’s. I’ve had it so long that either they don’t make it anymore, or they changed the packaging, because mine looks a bit different! It always takes me a long while to get through makeup remover, since I also try to use up the GWPs of Lancôme Bi-Facil and Clinique Take the Day Off.

What is one product you just can’t get the hang of? Or if that’s not applicable, that you cannot stand to use?
Bronzer. It scares me!

[Subtitle reference: The Man From U.N.C.L.E.. Just saw it, and it was so much fun! Lightweight spy action with a heavy dose of eye candy in 60s styles. I never saw the original TV series, but I’m going to hunt it down, now.]

  1. Congrats on the award!
Haha you give “going on a break” a new meaning! 😛
Fivezero would be an awesome nail polish line, I honestly thought the name had something to do with 5 fingers on each hand or something lol.
Yeah Man from UNCLE was a fun movie. I somewhat have a brush on the female lead… love her voice!
