China Glaze Nail Lacquer in Check Out the Silver Fox

China Glaze — Check Out the Silver Fox (Nail Lacquer) Swatch & Review

Collection: China Glaze 2015 Fall, The Great Outdoors

Welp, my low-buy’s not going that great! I spotted a slew of colors from China Glaze’s new fall collection, The Great Outdoors, at Winners and decided to pick up…several. This is the first China Glaze collection I’ve been wowed by for some time now! I got Cabin Fever, Check Out the Silver Fox, Free Bear Hugs, Pondering, Sleeping Under the Stars, and Wood You Wanna?

Check Out the Silver Fox (82709) is a strongly metallic silver shimmer. It’s actually one of the nicer silvers I’ve tried, because it’s not overly frosty and is toned down by a touch of deep pewter, yet it’s still shiny and festive.

The formula is quite nice: one coat is just about full coverage, but you’ll want a second just to even everything out and get it looking perfect. It’s very smooth and for a metallic, it doesn’t streak much at all.

It’s a perfect silver for a bit of glam, even for someone as bling-shy as I am.

I’ll end with a shallow note: a personal favorite “silver fox”!

meme, ways Sean Bean dies
56 and still looking great, even after many “deaths”

I read that last line in the image as “and other dancers“. That would be pretty funny.

China Glaze Nail Lacquer retails for US$7.50 and is 0.5 US fl oz / 14 mL. China Glaze nail polishes are free of toluene, added formaldehyde, and dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and are made in the USA.

China Glaze is part of American International Industries (who also own brands like Seche, EzFlow and Ardell), a private company based in Los Angeles, CA, USA.

  1. Haha, Sean Bean is in the new Martian movie and I’m curious how he will die in that film! 😛
I like this silver metallic colour – not that crazy chrome stuff that shows every ridge that I didn’t even know I had!

    • Ooh, I didn’t know he was! I haven’t read the book but am quite keen to see the movie. I wondered about the timing of NASA’s statement about Mars yesterday – if it was meant to coincide with the movie’s release.

Gawd I know what you mean about ridges. I can’t really see ridges too badly on my nails bare, but if I apply a chrome, it’s like suddenly they’re Venetian blinds. :/
