Collection: Zoya 2008 Summer, Chit-Chat
I know summer’s well over, but orange is still a great color for the fall. The temperature has certainly dropped over here, and the weather has turned blustery and grey, but bright oranges are an easy way to celebrate Thanksgiving/Halloween and brighten up the rainy days.
Lianne (ZP447) is described by Zoya as a “juicy medium tangerine with fine gold shimmer”. It’s a sprightly, clean orange warmed up by loads of yellow gold shimmer. I find it a little reminiscent of candy corn, but that might just be my stomach talking after doing a bit of Halloween treat shopping!
Candy corn is one of those treats I wish I could hand out as part of a Halloween goodie bag, but they never seem to come in individually-wrapped packages! A shame, but I guess that leaves more room for Junior Mints, Cadbury Screme Eggs, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Rockets, and Tootsie Rolls…
Back to the polish! The formula is very good: two to three coats gets you full and even opacity. Lianne is a fine choice for those who love orange polish.
It is, however, discontinued by Zoya. (Revlon Tangerine is a reasonable alternative, though it is a touch more yellow than red.)
Zoya Professional Lacquer retails for US$9 and is 0.5 US fl oz / 15 mL. Zoya nail polishes are free of toluene, formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and camphor, and are made in the USA.
