Collection: Inglot 2015 Winter, Matte It be

Inglot has just released a new collection of deep, wintery Matte finish shades in their existing O2M Breathable Nail Enamel line. This product is supposed to allow air and water to permeate the dried polish and reach the nail.
Apparently, this quality has made the polish popular amongst Muslim women:
While nothing in the Quran references nail polish explicitly, Muslims believe it’s important that water make contact with the nail during a washing ritual ahead of praying.
The collection also includes other matte-finish products:
INGLOT is introducing a matte collection that consists of AMC Eyeliner Gel, Kohl Pencil, and O2M Breathable Nail Enamel Soft Matte available in new trendy colours. Choose from:
– 4 new shades of AMC Eyeliner Gel
– 2 shades of Kohl Pencil
– 8 Shades of O2M Breathable Nail Enamel Soft Matte
Inglot’s O2M Matte It Be collection comes in 8 pastel, matte-finish shades. The polishes are free of toluene, formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and camphor. They are 0.37 fl oz / 11 mL and retail for CA$22. Inglot is available internationally, so you can check out Inglot’s main site for purchase prices and options in other countries.
There are mixed opinions about the breathability of the Inglot O2M polishes. I read online that the Canadian brand lacc (at SDM) also claims to be breathable too and appropriate for Muslims (saw it on imabeautygeek). I just don’t know what to make of it!
That said, I’ve bought one O2M polish and I’m a bit underwhelmed. I didn’t buy the corresponding base and top coat so maybe that had something to do with it? (and yes by using my usual base / top coat I negated the breathability aspect completely!) It’s quite pricey for a tiny bottle – doubt if I’ll buy another.

Ooh, I have a couple laccs, but haven’t tried them yet. I didn’t realize they were supposed to be breathable, too.
It wouldn’t entirely surprise me if these claims are not totally true… But I guess it also depends on how strict the Quran is on this topic. I really don’t know enough about it!
Sorry to hear the O2M didn’t wow you. Guess it’s not really meant for those who don’t require water permeability!

They’re perfect for fall/winter! I was just thinking, huh, shame they’re matte. :p

[…] The collection includes two shades of a new nail color called Nail Veil, a “fast-drying, oxygen and water permeable translucent gloss finish varnish”. (This seems like another product catering to Muslims who want water permeable nail polish, like Inglot’s O2M Breathable Nail Enamel.) […]
