Brand: Quo
My local Shoppers Drug Mart was clearancing some Quo by Orly polishes, and although some of the shades available were kind of dried out (really, Shoppers?), I managed to rescue two polishes (here is my review of the other one) that were in good shape. I guess I’ll see in a few months whether these also dry out…
Beyond the Sea (59376) is a vibrant cobalt blue with matching and aqua blue microglitter. The color, though not the finish, is similar to Chanel Vibrato, a striking cobalt blue cream.

It’s rare to find such intense pigmentation in a drugstore polish, but Quo’s line is manufactured by salon brand, Orly. The price is matched with Essie, which is also sold at drugstores here.
I am not extremely familiar with Orly’s polish line—I own many from back in the day, less so from their newer collections—but I don’t see a dupe for Beyond the Sea in their core collection. There isn’t a clear dupe at Orly-owned SpaRitual, either.
I suspect this shade is being discontinued since it was being clearanced, and I don’t see it on the Shoppers Drug Mart site. However, I really recommend it if you happen to see it in the sale rack. It’s pretty stunning!
Quo by Orly Nail Polish is 0.48 fl oz / 14 mL and retails for CA$11. It is free of toluene, formaldehyde, and dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and it is made in the USA.
Quo Cosmetics is a Shoppers Drug Mart private label brand that offers a variety of beauty products, ranging from foundation and eyeshadow to nail polish and makeup brushes. The product lineup has changed over the years, but their current nail polish is manufactured by Orly. Quo was launched by SDM in 1991. Shoppers Drug Mart is based in Toronto, ON, Canada.
I used to buy a lot of Orly. While I don’t like their new bottles (the old ones looked better and were better quality), the nail polish is not bad at all!

I didn’t know SpaRitual is owned by Orly! Weird that I really like Orly polishes but don’t seem to get on with SpaRitual. I have a few Quo by Orly ones and I like them – I bought them during a BOGO event at Shoppers (I was a sucker for those 5-9pm only BOGO deals!)
Beyond the Sea looks stunning – you really captured the vibrancy of the colour and it looks great against your skin tone!

I never knew SDM did BOGO for Quo! I have only gotten stuff from them for Essie. I hate the 5-9pm deals b/c it’s so crowded and I get too rushed! I accidentally bought a color I already own during TWO of these events, so I decided I will compile my buy-list beforehand. And now they haven’t done another one in a year or so, so…whatever. :p LOL
And thanks for the compliment! 😀 I was surprised at how much I liked this one. Usually, cobalt blues don’t suit me very well.

Yeah I noticed they have done those BOGO deals in a long time. And yes, they were kind of stressful with so many people trying to shop! I’d have SOME idea of a shopping list beforehand but typically I bought stuff I didn’t intend to… 😛

Ugh, yes! I’m almost glad they don’t do those, anymore.

I always love blue nails and the interesting part here is, it is not different coloured sparkles like gold or silver shimmers in it but instead, it has a mild sky blue sparkles along with it and it looks absolutely picture perfect.

Your description is spot on! The light blue sparkles, keeping it monotone, make it a bit more unique, which is unusual 😀

That is absolutely true.

I don’t know that the formula is worth $11 full price, but on sale, it’s worth a try! Usually, I think their colors look boring, though!

That is such a beautiful shade! I’m going to have to keep my eyes out for this one at my local Shoppers!
