Collection: China Glaze 2008 Fall, Rodeo Diva (Flannel Fixation)
China Glaze’s Fall 2008 collection was released in two sets of six, Flannel Fixation and Hay Ride; today’s shade, Cowgirl Up, is from the first.
Cowgirl Up (80880) is a medium-deep jewel-toned magenta-purple shimmer that may not be the most unique color ever, but it’s definitely drop dead gorgeous. It glows with plenty of fine, rich grape and amethyst shimmer.

The formula for this shade is very nice. Two coats applies easily and gives full opacity. I did use three coats for the swatch, but only because I goofed and got some marks on two coats.
I believe this shade is discontinued, but it can still be found on some online stores. Purple lovers should seek it out!
China Glaze Nail Lacquer retails for US$7.50 and is 0.5 US fl oz / 14 mL. China Glaze nail polishes are free of toluene, added formaldehyde, and dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and are made in the USA.
China Glaze is part of American International Industries (who also own brands like Seche, EzFlow and Ardell), a private company based in Los Angeles, CA, USA.
I love this one! Something about magenta shimmer just speaks to me! I have a few shimmering purples but they all lean cool / blue toned.
