Since November is my birthmonth and it also coincides with Sephora’s fall VIB sale and seemingly worldwide Black Friday sales, I was a very spendy girl this month!
I do have to admit that it’s really nice having extra birthday money to spend when all the sales come out of the woodwork. I’m also coming off a semi-successful low-buy, so I gotta say the shopping was fun!
I’ll just dive right into them. Here are the items that are in my possession. I’ll do a Part II when the rest of the ordered items show up.
I hope you have fun reading this, and that you’ll comment if you’ve tried anything I got! I look forward to checking out others’ hauls (I always love to read them, even though they make my wishlist grow like crazy!). The prices I’ve added are calculated after sales and eBates cashback.
First off, my Shoppers Drug Mart haul from last Saturday! I redeemed 95k Optimum Points for $200 worth of products. I spent $23 on a gift, and the rest was a nice birthday haul:
Elie Saab Le Parfum 50 mL edp ($107; this is cheaper at FragranceX, but then I’d have to spend money…), a perfume I’ve lusted over for a year or two, Chanel Rouge Allure Gloss in Distinction ($42), & Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in Singulière ($31).
Bacon Flavored Lip Balm, ~$4.20. ‘Cause why the hell not? Ardency Inn
MODSTER Manuka Honey Enriched Pigment Duo in Rose Gold & Sunday (full sized), ~$25 for the set. The singles are $24 by themselves! Bangstyle
Thickening Fibre Gel. This was a free GWP from Toronto Barber & Beauty Supply. They asked if I wanted this or a sea spray, and since I’ve been inundated with TRESemmé samples, I stupidly said, “Gel.” I don’t know what I’m gonna do with this other than give it away! Bésame
Classic Color Lipstick in Merlot 1933, ~$21 Burt’s Bees
A Bit of Burt’s Bees Gift Sets in Mango & Pomegranate with Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream Tins, ~$5.30 per set. I actually don’t like Burt’s Bees lip balm, but I do like the Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream, and I can always throw the extra lip balms into random handbags (I’m always forgetting to pack a lip balm!). China Glaze
Nail Lacquers, around $5 each.
Mini Mani Month Advent Calendar Color Club
Seven Deadly Sins Nail Lacquer 4-pc mini set (Dirty Money, Friends with Benefits, Under Your Spell, You’re So Vain), $4.99 Essie
Nail Polish, around $4.60 each.
Le Rouge Lip Color in Rose Dentelle, ~$29.40 Good Things
Acai Berry Multi-Tasking Micellar Water, $5.99. I kept seeing this at Winners and finally decided to give it a try. Isn’t the packaging cute? H&M
Cream Lip Colour in Heyday, $12.99
Nail Polishes in Shakudo & Space Race, $5.99 ea. Hudson’s Bay
Fragrance freebies Illume
Soy Candle in Mulled Wine, $7.99. I like to pick up a new scented candle or two every holiday season, and Winners is a great place to get a candle deal! JINsoon
Nail Lacquer in Verismo, ~$17 MAC
221 Mini Tapered Blending Brush, ~$22.70
Lipglass in Lovechild, $13.85
Lipglass in Spice, $13.85
Lipstick in Cosmo (Amplified Creme), $15.40
Lipstick in Royally Riotous (Amplified Creme), $20, one of the few items I bought full price, since it wasn’t available at thebay.com and it’s being discontinued by MAC. I bought it direct from MAC, who are now doing free samples with every purchase:
False Lashes Mascara (free sample)
Lipstick in Spice It Up! (Lustre), $15.40 Muji
Silver nail clippers, small with case, $6.50 NARS
Audacious Lipstick in Olivia, $28.70
Satin Lip Pencil in Rijugien (mini), from Sephora birthday gift
Satin Lip Pencil in Rijugien (mini), from Sephora birthday gift Rituals
Nail Varnish in Winter Blue, $5. This was a Winners find; Rituals is a UK brand that we don’t normally get in Canada. This bottle appears to be a discontinued style. I had to Google the polish name in Winners, since they brilliantly stuck the price label right over the Rituals logo on the front. I had to use Goo Gone to get it off, at home!
Formula X Effects Nail Color in Surreal, ~$5.40
Sephora Extras, #1
Sephora Extras, #2
Fresh Seaberry Skin Nutrition sample Stella McCartney
Stella Summer (2013), $29.99. The original Stella perfume is one of my all-time favorites, so it was a no-brainer to get this flanker when I saw it for a great price at Winners. I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s supposed to be a lighter, more citrusy version of the original. Surratt
Relevée Lash Curler, ~$20.75 Yves Rocher
Botanical Colour Nail Polish, Holiday 2015, ~$2.70 ea.
Shower Gel in Candied Orange & Cinnamon, Holiday 2015, $4; freebies including Eyeshadow in Cocoa Brown
