Innisfree — Scotland Check (Eco Nail Color Pro)

Collection: Innisfree 2015 Fall/Winter, Tartan Check

I’ve been picking up Korean nail polishes here and there, since I’m new to those products and I love to try new brands. So far, I’ve reviewed Banila Co., Etude House, and Missha polishes on my blog, and I recently got in another from Innisfree.

Today, I’m reviewing a shade from Banila Co.‘s Tartan Check collection from earlier this year (probably a Fall/Winter collection).

The bottle is a pretty standard cylinder with a white cap. It contains a mere 6 mL, but the bottle feels deceptively larger.

Scotland Check (112) is pretty much the deepest vampy green you can get without totally feeling that it just looks black. I mean, in dim light, it does just look black, but in normal to bright light, you can definitely see that it’s a deep forest green cream.

A lovely surprise is that this vampy green is a one-coat wonder! Yes, that’s just a single, smoothly-applied coat in the swatch! That’s some nice pigmentation, folks.

The brush is a wider, flat brush with a squared off edge; I prefer a narrower brush or a wide paddle shape, but this brush works all right for me.

I am pretty pleased with this one, even though ideally I like a less blackened vampy green. Still, those who like an especially deep green will love this.

Innisfree Eco Nail Color Pro retails for US$4.45 (at Cosmetic Love [referral link], where I purchased it) and contains 6 mL. It is made in South Korea.

Innisfree is an all-natural cosmetic brand launched in 2000 by Korean cosmetic giant AmorePacific, who also own brands like Etude and Laneige. The company name, Innisfree, is derived from a William Butler Yeats’ poem. Innisfree is based in Seoul, South Korea.
