This post has been a long time coming!
I’m sure many of us have been insanely busy over the last month or two, and for me, I’ve finally reached a point where I can heave a sigh of relief and, hopefully, get back on track, blog-wise. I hope you haven’t been terribly bored by my recent non-nail polish related posts on
perfume, more perfume, washing your hair in reverse, and handbags! While I enjoy collecting perfume and handbags, I’m no full-fledged perfumista or fashionista.
So, back in late November, I posted
Part I of my birthday beauty haulage. In this post, I’ll combine Part II with my Christmas haulage.
I splurged on beauty products for my birthday; less so for Christmas. I tend to receive money for Christmas (our families like do that, including DH and myself simply exchanging Christmas budgets so we don’t have to go through the rigamarole of picking out unwanted gifts for each other), and while I spent a bit of it on beauty products—on sale post-holidays, of course!—I spent a lot of it on two non-beauty products, which I’ll post about at the end.

Without further ado, here’s Part II + Christmas:
November (Part II) & December Haulage
AMOUR & BARIELLE
Amour Nail Lacquer in June Is Here, and Barielle Shades Nail Color in Jess’ Champagne Toast (yeah, I don’t get the name, either! Purple champagne?). Always like trying new brands! I actually have one other Barielle (Jordana’s Skinny Jeans) that I picked up from Winners some time ago, but it’s untried, so this brand remains new to me.
Le Vernis Nail Colour in Blue Rebel (553) (surprise gift from DH; he got it “just in case” I got him something, which I did—a small bottle of Van Cleef & Arpels Tsar. Yes, he likes it old school!)
Jetsetter Lipkits in Rome & Tokyo (each contains three lip balms in Mango, Pineapple Coconut & Watermelon).
Coal Hands, Warm Heart & Brand Sparkin’ New Year.
Don’t you love it when you buy Clinique for someone else, and you get to keep the GWP?
The GWP includes an All About Shadow Palette with 6 shades & a full-sized Long Last Soft Matte Lipstick in Matte Plum with special kiss packaging.
Vinylux Weekly Polish in Nordic Lights & Pretty Poison.
Undressed Shades of Nude Set (Flesh For Fantasy, Totally Nude, Born This Way, Bare It All, Natural Woman, Skin Deep).
Champs-Élysées edt (30 mL). I get a heavy dose of lily-of-the-valley, sweetened by a bit of mimosa, peach and almond; I think I might prefer the lighter and rosier Vivienne Westwood Cheeky Alice for my LOTV fix (it would have been Diorissimo, until Dior was forced to reformulate). Still, I like Champs-Élysées, though it doesn’t feel very much like a Guerlain to me. As a side note, I’m not sure why the first “E” on the bottle doesn’t have an acute on it, but it seems like all the bottles do that. The acute on the first “E” is present on the box, and in the actual street name, as well.
Nail Lacquer in Dolomite. Another brand that’s new to me.
Vintage Bloom Gift Set: Eau de Toilette (100 mL), Bath & Shower Gel (90 mL), Body Lotion (90 mL).
Holiday Gift Box 2015: Almond Shower Oil, Cherry Blossom Shower Gel, Eau Essentielle, 5% Shea Light Comforting Cream, Lavender Foaming Bath, Pivoine Flora Hand Cream, Verbena Extra-Gentle Soap.
Ombre Hypnôse Stylo in Taupe Quartz & Erika F (lemming from dandygal!)
Vernis in Love in Rouge Midnight
Translucent Loose Setting Powder (Travel Size). Image: sephora.com
Enchanted Eve Face Kit in Cool. Includes Rebel lipstick, which I’ve been lemming like mad. Plus, I love the little plastic hinged lid over the cream products!
Eye Shadow x 15 in Cool Neutral. No repeats in my collection, apart from Blackberry (which I love, anyway) and Cozy Grey, which shows up in the Enchanted Eve Face Kit above, too. Finally, I have Brun and Black Tied!
316 Covered Lip Brush. I can’t find my trusty Club Monaco brush, which I’ve had for ages, so it was high time I got a new one. I haven’t found a lip brush as fantastic as my old CM; I hope I’ll like this one well enough. And, of course, Ijust realized that the Enchanted Eve Face Kit comes with the 316 in a double-ended brush. D’oh. Well, I don’t like double-ended brushes, anyway, and I can keep this full-sized brush in my brush cup!
Dawn Chorus, Sparkling Apple Cider, Sunrise Dew.
Gravitron, Tumble Bug, Shoot the Chute, Loop-de-Loop, Tilt-a-Whirl. I kinda love Misa.
Professional Nail Lacquer in Mint Chocolate Chip. Another brand that’s new to me.
Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard (Travel Size). Image: sephora.com
Beauty On the Go Set 2015. I saw this on clearance at Rexall and couldn’t help picking it up. For CA$19.96, it contains 31 Eye Shadows, 5 Pressed Pigments, 3 Contours, 3 Highlighters, 3 Blushes, and 7 Lipsticks. I already own a lot of NYX Hot Singles Eye Shadows, but I noticed that there were a lot of colors in this set that I don’t own. There are no shade names on the packaging, so I’m going to have to do a little research!
The World is Not Enough (lemming from stashmatters!), Press * for Silver, Worth a Pretty Penne, Venice the Party?
Sunglasses at Night.
Queen edp 100 mL tester. I kind of wish I’d bought the non-tester since the cap is kind of pretty, but this was a really good deal! The pixelated heart is convex on the front of the bottle and concave on the back.

A Few Non-Beauty Items
I’d been bemoaning the loss of my favorite umbrella (a black and white polka dot number), so after nearly a year, I finally gave into a sale and picked up this cutie. Of course, within a week, DH discovered my umbrella deep in the back pocket of our grocery shopping cart. I’d been toting it around all the time without knowing it! And, ’cause I clearly don’t have enough Rebecca Minkoff already (snort!):

I’ve wanted a leopard-print bag for ages, and the Love Crossbody was also on my hitlist. Saw the two combined, at a great discount ( Saks Off 5th, and they have the mini version, too sorry, I just checked and now all the RM bags are gone from the site!), and pounced.
