Collection: Color Club 2014 Spring, Paris in Love
I scored a pack of six Color Club polishes, plus a clear top coat, marked down to CA$5 at Winners.
The Color Club packs sold at Winners are typically unlabeled, but the colors all looked like the ones in Color Club’s Spring 2014 Paris in Love collection. I’ll have to label the bottles myself.
Fondue for Two (1041) is probably meant to be inspired by melted chocolate, but to me the shade is more suited to a Swiss raclette. The creamy brown shade has a yellow undertone which brings to mind pale yellow melted cheese, and the taupe tones conjure visions of mushrooms and potatoes which are often dipped into the cheese.

The formula is a bit on the thinner side, so while two coats will do, I preferred three thinner coats.
Color Club Professional Nail Lacquer retails for US$8.50 (I’ve rarely seen it in Canada outside of Winners, but never checked the pricing) and is 0.5 fl oz / 15 mL. It is cruelty-free and made in USA.
Color Club is one of the lines produced by Forsythe Cosmetics Group, which was founded in 1979 by husband and wife team Buddy & Harriet Rose. Along with Color Club, the company also makes Art Club, Ruby Wing Color Changing Polish, and private label polishes for distributors and nail salons. The company is based in Freeport, NY, USA.
Love this woody brown shade.

It can be hard to find a nice deep brown!

Hmm chocolate fondue… I love dipping pineapple in that chocolatey goodness! And bananas. And apples!
Nice nail polish too… 😋

OMG pineapple + chocolate, lovely. I’ve been eating too much pineapple lately, and just made two Hawaiian pizzas for dinner last night. :p

Pineapple is delicious but it has no business on a pizza! 😉

Oh we’re a Hawaiian pizza household, for sure! I made it AGAIN last night, LOL. Had to do half with tomatoes and half with mushrooms, though, since DH is not the biggest mushroom fan. Peanut is already a convert to both mushrooms and pineapple on pizza!

Brown’s not for everyone 🙂 It did seem a bit weird compared with most of the other shades in the collection!

Yes, the rest is all very spring and happy. This seems a little drab in comparison.
