Ohhh-kay. Way too much haulage this month, so I really have to slow down!
I’m gonna blame the lovely Ingrid of Curly.Spring.Blossom for half of my haul, and…um, my lack of self-control my love of lipstick for the second half. And my love of a deal for the whole damn haul.
I am not normally a huge consumer of Urban Decay products, though I did have mad love for their awesome nail polish and lipstick shades back in their earlier days. YES, I wore Bruise lipstick—the version that was purple and green and frosty! (Sadly, they’ve let their nail polish division slip by the wayside…probably ever since they started changing hands among various corporations; they’re now L’Oréal-owned.) But, recently they’ve been working on collaborations with popstar Gwen Stefani, whom I’ve long admired, and it wasn’t a hard sell when Ingrid told me that Sephora was running a sale on some of the UD × Gwen Stefani collection. This was right after the Sephora VIB sale, too, in which I didn’t partake, so I somehow felt it was all right for me to splurge a little!
The first part of my haul was from Sephora (Canada), and the second half was from Urban Decay (Canada)—huge rave for them, by the way. The order came super-fast and with three great samples!
What I Got from Sephora (Canada)
[free shipping, 4% ebates.ca cashback]
Urban Decay × Gwen Stefani Blush Palette (MSRP CAD$60, on sale for CA$40)
The six shades are Cherry, Easy, Angel, Lo-Fi, Hush, and QC. Gwen Stefani reportedly had input on the package design, too. It’s beautiful! My only quibble is that the raised metal plate on the cover has sharpish edges. Oww. But I’m a little klutzy.
Urban Decay × Gwen Stefani Lipstick in Rock Steady (MSRP CAD$21, on sale for CA$14)
The online swatch looked lighter, so I was delighted to see that Rock Steady appears darker in the tube. Ooooh what a pretty vampy red!
Sephora Points Extra: Marc Jacobs Highliner Eye Crayon in Blacquer (deluxe sample)
I probably shouldn’t have spent the 100 pts on this, since I realized later that this is also part of the free 2016 Sephora birthday gift, if you choose the Marc Jacobs gift over the Fresh gift, which is totally what I was going to do. Well, I hope I love it so I don’t mind receiving a second one.

Sephora Free Sample: Josie Maran Vibrancy Argan Oil Foundation Fluid in Awakened (deluxe sample)
LOVE the packaging!

Sephora Free Sample: Fresh Sugar Nourishing Lip Balm Advanced Therapy (sample)

Sephora Free Sample: Ren Wake Wonderful Night-Time Facial (sample)

Sephora Free Sample: Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Eau de Parfum (sample)
I know this scent is über-popular, but for whatever reason, I’ve never really tried it on myself!

What I Got from Urban Decay (Canada)
[free shipping, 4% urbandecay.ca cashback]
Earlier this week, I got an email from Urban Decay (Canada) advertising a lipstick sale. Sigh. The Revolution lipsticks were all going for CAD$13. In a country where drugstore lipsticks like now retail from CAD$10-$14, this was quite a deal!
Revolution Lipstick in Protest (MSRP CAD$26, on sale for CAD$13)
Revolution Lipstick in Strip (MSRP CAD$26, on sale for CAD$13)
Matte Revolution Lipstick in Carnal (MSRP CAD$26, on sale for CAD$13)
Matte Revolution Lipstick in Temper (MSRP CAD$26, on sale for CAD$13)
Urban Decay Free Sample: Eyeshadow in Fireball (sample)
This is an awesome 0.85g (full-sized shadows are 1.5g) eyeshadow sample that comes in a little metal pan! I don’t know where I can put it, but I’m sure I’ll figure something out. The shade, Fireball, is stunning: an iridescent, deep peachy rose.
Urban Decay Free Sample: Eyeshadow Primer Potion (sample)
Urban Decay Free Sample: Perversion Mascara (sample)
What are your favorite UD products? The other full-sized items I have from them in recent years are the Naked Palette, Afterglow Blush in Rapture, and a few of the 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils in Corrupt, Voodoo, and Zero.
I blame many of my purchases on Ingrid. That girl is just the worst. 😛
Bruise lipstick? I’m trying to picture that! 😮 😆
Awesome deals though. I saw the sale on Sephora but covered my eyes since like you said, it was just after VIB… I certainly do NOT a whole palette of blushes. You KNOW my blush stash is out of hand! The colours included in the palette all look extremely wearable. And that lipstick tube is so purdy. ❤
What, UD has a Canadian site? I never knew that! But I’m so glad I didn’t know that or about the sale. You did good though – I only have the one Revolution lipstick but I really like the formula! Is shipping free at a certain dollar spend?
I’m not too into UD…. I guess I like their eye shadows best. I own a handful of them and my most used one from the brand is Naked, a boring transition shade. But it’s a nice neutral – not too warm not too cool tan shade.
If I didn’t know better, I’d think you were some UD spokesperson lol!

Sometimes I wonder what I was smoking (wearing Bruise lipstick) but OTOH I did get attention from SAs at makeup counters. LOL. They must’ve been like, “oh an easy sale…”
I gotta stop with the blushes now – it’s not even like I wear it all that often. :O But yeah, they are really very wearable shades!
Yes, I think the urbandecay.ca site launched late last year! Sign up and they mail offers now and then 😀 The package comes addressed from L’Oreal! I think shipping was free with a ~$50 purchase. Though I’m in no way a UD connoisseur! (Ah I just remembered you hate their concealer, too.)

In my defense I wear blush daily! I did go check out the UD.ca site after reading your post. Thank goodness all the colours I was interested in were sold out, phew, temptation avoided! 😛

I used to wear bruise and gash lipsticks back in the day – they were my very first UD purchases!
I’m still on my low-buy, so I’m living vicariously through other people’s purchases, haha!

I’m gonna try! I’ve been experimenting with getting actual lip shots for lipstick swatches. It’s harder than you think, haha!

I don’t have a lot of Urban Decay yet, but I am eyeing some of those lipsticks…

Their new lipsticks are nice! I definitely prefer the formula to the old ones, which were really just good for the funky colors. (Now they don’t really do the funky colors, sad!)

I’ll wait for the new Vice line to hit the store over here. there’s a black and a green, at least. although the green doesn’t look too good.

Oh I don’t even know where to start: what a gorgeous haul. That palette looks amazing, but so do all of the great lippies you picked. Love all of the free samples you picked up as well. Rather curious about that bright Josie Maran thingy.

I need to try the Josie Maran foundation this weekend! I don’t think the color is a perfect match, though, as they only had three shades to choose from.

At least it will give you a feel for the formula 🙂
