I’m not usually an avid consumer of The Body Shop’s products—I feel like their quality isn’t quite what they used to be, particularly the scents—but last year I was killing time at one of their stores and figured I’d give their Vineyard Peach Cream Body Scrub a try. The tester smelled quite luscious, and the scrub was more than half off (CA$10)!
From The Body Shop (Canada):
This gently exfoliating body scrub smells like freshly picked peaches. It lifts away dead skin cells and leaves skin peachy-soft.
– Lifts away dead skin cells
– Stimulates skin surface microcirculation
– Leaves skin feeling softer and smoother
– Delicate peach scent
– Special edition
I have to say that this isn’t my favorite body scrub. The cream formula has a tendency to feel a bit greasy, and so I never felt like it cleaned well enough. The scrub itself was too delicate for my liking. It just felt like the product didn’t do a whole lot.
The scent also was a disappointment. I know I said it smelled really good in-store, but for some reason when using it, it has a sort of after-smell that goes a bit plasticky.
I would try some other scrubs from The Body Shop, since they seem to vary a fair bit in texture and scent, and the sale prices are addictive! (Plus, I just signed up for their Rewards Card, so I need to make the most of that…) But I would not repurchase the Vineyard Peach Cream Scrub, and would be unlikely to try a different scent in the Cream Scrub formula.

The Body Shop Cream Body Scrub in Vineyard Peach is 6.9 oz / 200 mL and retails for US$20 / CA$22 (the price may have gone up; I just noticed that the price tag on my tub says $20 and the Canadian website now says it’s $22). The formula is vegetarian, contains community fair trade and non-GMO ingredients, and does not contain phthalates or triclosan. The Body Shop remains a cruelty-free company.
The Body Shop was founded in 1976 by Dame Anita Roddick. It is headquartered in Littlehampton, England. In 2006, the company was acquired by L’Oréal.
This sounds heavenly. I have to agree – not a big purchaser here either of Body Shop products. This sounds great though and scrubs are really nice…

It is a gentle scrub, if that’s the kind of thing you like better!
