Collection: OPI 2016 Holiday, Breakfast at Tiffany’s
OPI have posted their new Holiday 2016 collection, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, inspired by the classic Audrey Hepburn movie. Looks like China Glaze’s For Audrey is going to have a little competition!
The collection consists of the usual 12 new Nail Lacquer shades, as well as 6 new Infinite Shine Gel Lacquer shades. One shade, I Believe in Manicures, is a Tiffany & Co.-inspired pastel blue that is present in both product lines, so in all there are 17 new shades.
The 6 Infinite Shine Gel Lacquers:
- I Believe in Manicures, precious, light blue
- Girls Love Pearls, lustrous silver
- I’ll Have a Manhattan, sleek dark purple
- Can’t Tame a Wild Thing, daring red
- Ring the Buzzer Again, scarlet
- Party at Holly’s, burnished mahogany
The 12 Nail Lacquers:
- I Believe in Manicures, precious, light blue
- Black Dress Not Optional, elegant, Little-Black-Dress black
- Apartment for Two, cozy, romantic rasp-berry (no idea why there’s a hyphen in raspberry)
- Five-and-Ten, shimmery champagne
- Rich & Brazilian, rich burgundy
- Meet My “Decorator”, hot red
- Got the Mean Reds, red cream
- Fire Escape Rendezvous (the website spells this Rendexvous, which I hope is just a typo), matte glittery ruby
- Breakfast at Tiffany’s, matte pearl
- Sunrise…Bedtime!, glittery dawn-pink
- Can’t Read Without My Lipstick, creamy, elegant maroon
- Champagne for Breakfast, bubbly, sparkling silver
I don’t think I’m overly excited about this collection, though I would probably like to pick up I Believe in Manicures and possibly Can’t Read Without My Lipstick. Five-and-Ten and Breakfast at Tiffany’s look like they could be interesting.
Happy shopping!

Hmm, that blue looks way to blue for a Tiffany’s blue whilst I do prefer it over for Audrey, which just doesn’t sit right on me! It’s quite a bland collection for me, there’s nothing standout – apart from the blue which only stands out because it’s not pink or red!

I agree – I’m hoping it’s closer to Tiffany blue IRL but it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s different. Weird, right?
Yes, quite yawn-y for a holiday offering! The usual loads of reds and a smattering of metallics.

Maybe it’s so they don’t infringe too much into China Glaze’s territory, considering it’s such an iconic nail polish shade it’s a bit odd that they’re stepping on their toes!

Heh, maybe! Tiffany & Co. also have their color trademarked in the US so that might be it…since this doesn’t seem to be a collaboration with the jewelry co. It seems weird to me that you can trademark a color, though.

Yeah – it’s odd though because if you’re a tiffany fan, you’re not going to be satisfied by this colour!

I like the “Breakfast at Tiffany” and I think that the ” I Believe in Manicures” and “Can’t Tame A Thing” are stunning colors! I do not wear much Nail polish but I can appreciate a nice nail color on the nails ~

I do like the Rich and Brazilian color. That looks like a great holiday color. Maybe that Sunrise lacquer might be interesting too. The others are kind of like all the other stuff we’ve seen from them over the years though. I totally agree.

Don’t get me wrong, I love reds! But it gets very same-y every holiday…

I’m terrified of real red. I don’t know, I feel like it doesn’t look good against my skin tone whether it’s blue-based, orange-based, etc. But deeper burgundy and plum shades I can do with total confidence. I think this holiday I’m going to work on some really bold eye looks and just go with a neutral lip maybe with a shimmer on top.

Aww, I feel like you’d rock red! But you should wear what makes you most comfortable. Deep plums and burgundies are stunning!
