Collection: MAC Spring 2016, Fashion Pack
I’m not often lured by MAC polishes, even after they revamped the formula so that it’s finally good. But now and then, they do release a color that I simply must have.
Style Matters, from one of their spring collections this year, is a stunning emerald green with a slightly teal undertone. And, despite what MAC think, it’s perfectly shimmery:

(I’ve been dying to use the interrobang, by the way.)
[Incidentally, MAC appear to be discontinuing their core line of nail lacquer, because I don’t see most of the shades online anymore! There are several left, including Style Matters, and they’re listed at US$5.20 / CA$6, so hurry and pick them up if you want them! I’m tempted, but I probably wouldn’t have bought the remaining colors, apart from Style Matters, if they weren’t on sale—so I should pass.]
The formula was super nice. I only have four Studio Nail Lacquers (the latest formulation) and one remains untried. The other two are from the Bao Bao Wan collection. What I said in the review for Imperial Green also applies to Style Matters:
I liked the formula on this very much: it was a little thick, but I kind of like that slightly pudding-y spring in my polish. It applied very evenly and two coats were required for full opacity.
My only complaint would be that it doesn’t dry to the shiniest of finishes, but that’s easily remedied with a glossy top coat.
I think this shade is pretty fantastic and it works all year round: bright and happy enough for warmer weather, and luxe-looking for cooler weather. That it comes in a nice formula is the icing on the cake.

MAC Studio Nail Lacquer is 10 mL / 0.34 US fl oz, and it retails for US$12 / CA$15 / £10. The polish is free of toluene, formaldehyde and dibutyl phthalate (DBP). It is made in the USA.
MAC is part of the Estée Lauder Companies.

This is screams St Patricks to me! What a pretty shade – I only have one MAC polish, and that was Biker Blue from their denim collection, haven’t worn that in ages, I must pull it out!
Off to see if their on sale on MAC here now!

It really would work so well for many of the green holidays!
I haven’t seen Biker Blue – sounds like a vampy one? Hope they’re on sale in the UK, too. I wonder what’s going on…maybe they’re revamping the line again?

They weren’t on sale still £10 each, deep black navy base with a mid blue micro glitter running through http://www.honeymunchkin.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/MAC-Biker-Blue-detail.jpg
Guessing they must be, there seemed to be limited shades on uk Mac online but just no cheaper 😿

I dislike the handle of MAC nail polishes though – so difficult to hold.
BUT I kind of want this for the NAME! 😛 I just might pick it up for $6! 😉 Thanks a lot, you enabler.

Heh, I almost typed “Stash Matters” instead of “Style Matters” in this post, too. You oughta get it! enable enable

Oh, and I agree the caps are such an awkward shape…at least they’re kind of rubberized, though, which makes it better. Basically the whole bottle is a bit annoying – looks nice but I always feel I’m going to tip it over since it’s a bit top-heavy and tapered at the bottom.

This is a pretty shade. Could definitely be spring but could make it Christmas too!
