New Release: butter LONDON + Pantone — 2017 Color of the Year Nail Lacquer

Collection: butter LONDON Winter 2016, Pantone Color of the Year 2017

butter LONDON have collaborated with color experts Pantone for a Color of the Year 2017 collection! The color of next year’s moment is Greenery, a yellow-green.

I just love all the shades in this new collection! There are both brights and neutrals that complement each other brilliantly.

As a side note, butter LONDON have taken to referring to their original line of 3-Free Nail Lacquers as Trend Lacquers, even though the newer bottles drop the 3-Free and just say Nail Lacquer. Consistency is all I ask!

From butter LONDON:

The opulent artistry of butter LONDON and influential edge of PANTONE, the global color authority, combine forces in an uplifting color collaboration.

Inspired by GREENERY, the PANTONE Color of the Year, this oh-so-alive color collection celebrates the essence of natural beauty. Say hello to a range of fiercely feminine, wildly luxurious color, infused with vitality and pure ebullience.

The six new shades are:

  • Bodacious, vibrant lilac crème
  • Buttercream, warm off-white crème
  • Calypso Coral, coral pink crème
  • Caramel Cafè [sic], warm caramel brown
  • Greenery (Color of the Year), yellow green crème
  • Rich Gold, warm golden shimmering beige

The shades also come in 6 matching lipglosses (except for the green, which is a white shimmer with some green in it).

I guess butter LONDON are running out of those British-inspired names, as well! Can’t say I’m too excited by these polish color names, though I suppose Pantone would have come up with “Greenery”.

Happy shopping!

  1. I do love green, just not necessarily this shade of green for nails on my skintone.
Still also not a big fan of Butter London’s either, the three I haven’t impressed me to try any more.
I like the look of the first three in this collection, Buttercream actually looks like a rare proper cream polish which I can never find so I’m almost tempted to get it!
Think they ran out of the London/UK themed names cause nails inc stole em all ha

  2. OMG That BODACIOUS color. I need that. The green might be oK, I’m not sure. With the right outfit and accessories it could super ultra cute. Like if you were wearing black and white especially stripes and then had this green polish and a cute bag. I could see that!

  3. I like this green! I would probably want to wear it in the spring/summer though. I also really the Bodacious shade. 😊
