Collection: A England 2013, Burne-Jones Dream
Indie brand A England‘s 2013 collection, Burne-Jones Dream, references the work of 19th century British artist Edward Burne-Jones. I’ve previously reviewed Sleeping Palace from this collection, where I talk more about the collection’s inspiration!

I’ve been trying to swatch some more romantically-inclined colors for Valentine’s Day, and Rose Bower struck me as a particularly lovely option. It’s a gorgeous azalea red—intense and pinked—with fine holographic shimmer.

As usual, coverage and application are excellent. You can almost get away with one coat, but ideally I’d recommend two, as I have in my swatch.
One thing about my lightbox setup is that the light bulbs I use don’t show holos very well. (Halogens do, but the ones in my home are so yellow and can mess with color, even with white balance set properly.) Luckily, we have some sun on this cold day in Toronto, and I managed to get a sunlight shot, as well.

Here it is in sunlight:

I recommend this one very highly. Wouldn’t it make a perfect Valentine’s mani?

Pretty pretty! Definitely a Valentine’s Day type of colour. It’s been sooooo grey out lately but I appreciated the few days of sunshine last week (even though cold).
