Haulage! SaleEvent.ca (Feb & Mar 2017)

Since I don’t have a car, it can be pretty hard for me to get to warehouse sales and discounters out in suburbia, which is why SaleEvent.ca is an online store I love to shop at for cheap nail polish and other makeup items. A lot of it is discontinued stuff, as well, so it’s a good source for harder-to-find products and shades.

I’ve also had nothing but positive experiences with the shop—with my most recent order, I experienced a technical browser error, and their customer service dealt with it superbly. My orders always come well-packed and the items are always in fine condition.

Here are my combined two most recent orders, from February and March, made partly because I found out that my favorite drugstore foundation (Revlon Nearly Naked in Nude) was discontinued last year and I wanted to stock up.

All prices are in CA$.

Almay Clear Complexion Makeup in Buff (200) [CA$6]
This is actually a shade lighter than the Naked (300) that I usually use. They were out of stock on 300, so I figured I could use this one as a mixer for foundations I have that are a touch too dark.
Revlon Nearly Naked Makeup in Nude (150)
Revlon Nearly Naked Makeup in Nude (150) [$6]
Picked up 4 of these. So annoyed Revlon discontinued this.
Is there even a replacement product?
Gotta love cosmetic discounters!

  1. I learned about this site from YOU! 😉 It’s an excellent source for discount and recently discontinued products! I agree, their shipping is fantastic (ahem The Bay and Yves Rocher, send your peeps to the SaleEvent warehouse for training!) Glad you were able to stock up on the Revlon Nearly Naked… too bad they discontinued it in the first place!
Those Pure Ice nail polishes look great – I’ve never tried Pure Ice polishes before – they’re good?

  2. I hope you got a good bottle of Revlon Eclectic because mine is HORRIBLE. 3-4 coats to be opaque :\ Revlon Sky’s the Limit looks so pretty, I always grab a bottle and stare at it when I see it in the store, but haven’t actually bought it yet. It looks frosted without being frosty, if that makes any sense, and so pretty!

I’m excited to see your upcoming polish posts, too many beautiful colors here to comment on!
