I got this month’s Ipsy bag on Monday, and while it’s a pretty decent bag, it doesn’t live up to the last couple bags I’ve gotten, which have been quite good.
My Glam Bag does, however, look totally color-coordinated, in tones of peach and rose gold! How cute is that?
Once again, I redeemed some Ipsy points (mostly accumulated via referrals, so I must thank those who used my referral link to join Ipsy!) for three additional products.

Here are some more detailed product shots:

MintPear Beauty Blending Sponge
300 Ipsy Points for full size; US$19
I was in a trigger-happy mood, so I redeemed my points for this makeup sponge before I looked up reviews and found out that reviews were fairly mixed. Well, it’ll be interesting to try it out! It’s latex-free, designed to be more durable, and I’ve read that it may give better results when used dry. [Made in ?]

pūr~lisse BB Tinted Moist Cream
500 Ipsy Points for 10 mL travel size; US$10
Generally, I like pūr~lisse stuff, and I already received this once in a beauty box. [Made in Korea.]

Hourglass Ambient Light Correcting Primer in Dim Light
800 Ipsy Points for 1 oz full size; US$44 / CA$52
A full-sized Hourglass product for 800 pts? No brainer, right? [Made in USA.]

INT Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Goddess Gold
3 g full size but with no compact; US$4
I’ve never heard of this brand before, but the eyeshadow does look quite nice. The pan size is larger than a MAC shadow, so I’m not sure where I’ll put it. I guess I should set aside a MAC Pro Palette for random shadow pans. I was pretty annoyed when I checked out INT’s website and saw that these shadows normally come with compacts—and they retail for US$4. Seriously, just send us the compact next time! What a hassle. [Made in China.]

LadyKin Affinitic Snail Cream
5 mL travel size; US$4, 100 mL full size US$22
One of the popular Korean skincare ingredients is snail secretions, which sounds gross, but apparently it’s full of things that are good for your skin. It’s got a long history of being used in skincare, going at least as far back as the ancient Greeks, and now it’s a huge, modern trend. I’ve personally never tried it, so I guess I can, now! Here’s an informative article on the topic, if you’re interested. [Made in South Korea.]

OUAI Haircare Treatment Masque
1 oz sample, approx. 3 uses; 2.4 oz (8 uses) full size US$32
I usually groan when I get hair stuff in my beauty box, but I could probably use a treatment mask at this point. I’m in recovery mode from post-partum hair loss, and I feel like I less than half the hair I normally have (not an exaggeration) and some of it is growing back along my hairline so I look like this, just not as fabulous. Basically, my hair looks like ass, so yay, hair stuff. [Made in ?]

Skone Luxe Pro Blending Brush
full size; US$18
Eh, it doesn’t seem like an $18 brush. The bristles are nylon and the ferrule is rose gold. [Made in ?]

tarte tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in Delish
1 mL mini; 6 mL full size US$20 / CA$24
tarte is a nice brand and I do like receiving their products, but on the other hand, I’m not the biggest fan of liquid lipsticks, particularly of the matte variety. Still, the color is pretty and perfectly wearable. [Made in USA.]

Ipsy Glam Bag “Très Jolie” Makeup Pouch
The foldover style means this bag is larger than the usual ipsy makeup bag. It’s a style more suited to a clutch than to a makeup bag, though. The rose gold color scheme is pretty.
Glam Bag Verdict
Meh bag this month. Nothing I’m super excited about, but there’s nothing truly bad. My favorite thing is probably the snail cream container, haha!
Some other Ipsy items for March 2017 that I would have liked to try (no nail polishes this month; it seems it was a pretty meh month, all ’round):
- Burt’s Bees Lipstick in Suede Splash
- Vasanti Professional Contour Eyeshadow Brush
- Air Repair Complexion-Boosting Moisturizer
- Neogen Coconut Milk Pure Mild Cleanser
- EYEKO Fat Eye Stick in Satin
Happy Wednesday!
‘Cause you made it all the way down here, I’ll leave you with a cheery tune. Here’s “Walking On Sunshine” by Katrina & the Waves, from 1983.
I really want to try the hair mask. I don’t buy a lot of hair masks and this brand is so luxurious and expensive!

My Glam Bag hasn’t arrived yet! And due to the storm, it probably wont arrive until some time next week.
Your bag is pretty good – I’m so curious about the snail cream, and the Ouai hair mask!

I haven’t received mine too but I like this bag except for the OUAI mask. I got that from my Sephora box last January and I didn’t like it. I want to that the snail cream as well. everyone is talking about that snail cream lately. 🙂
