Revlon Nail Enamel in Daydreamer, swatch

Revlon — Daydreamer (Nail Enamel) Swatch & Review

Brand: Revlon

I like to pick up a classic Revlon nail polish whenever they go on sale, but for some annoying reason, I ended up paying full price (CA$8) for Daydreamer (215). It didn’t ring up at the sale price ($3.99 or $4.99); my drugstore bill was fairly long and I didn’t realize until I checked the bill a week later. Alas, one must always remember to check one’s bill at the point of purchase!

The color is pretty enough to temper my annoyance a little: it’s a sheer, pinked lavender shimmer with a strong green-gold iridescence.

I don’t know which collection it’s from, though it’s definitely not from a 2010 collection called Daydreamer. The code is 215, but I don’t know how reliable codes are with Revlon; they are often all over the place. I do suspect it’s a newer release, which is why it didn’t ring up at the sale price (drugstores here tend to keep new releases at full price, despite sales—ugh!).

The color is fairly muted and has an ethereal glow. Three coats gives something like full opacity, though two looks reasonably nice, as well. I have three coats on in my swatch.

I definitely want to try this one as a topper, since the iridescent shimmer is so strong!

I hope this is included in Revlon’s core collection, because it’s one of the prettiest colors in the drugstore!

By the way, I’m a child of the 90s and particularly love Britpop. Does anyone else remember the song “Daydreamer” (1995) by Menswear?

    • I’m still so pissed I paid $8 for a Revlon polish, but I guess it’s pretty. 🙂 To make myself feel better, I remind myself that I paid $4 for a Revlon lipstick, so I can just pretend I paid $6 for each. Hehe.
