If you’ve been reading my blog, you’ll know that I’ve been hauling a little too much, lately! ColourPop, Deciem (plus I’m still waiting on two orders containing their new foundations), Sephora, and tarte were my biggest weaknesses. I love a great sale!
I should be winding down now for the next month or three…
Meanwhile, here’s what I ordered last month from Cosmetic Love. This package arrived in a mere 18 days from Seoul to Toronto, which is awesome! My Jolse order took about a month. Obviously, Canadian customs is the main reason for the length of time it takes for the packages to arrive, so it’s probably just the luck of the draw. Both shops shipped my orders very quickly. (Of course, Jolse aren’t doing free shipping to Canada for the time being, so Cosmetic Love remains my first choice shop.)
Prices are all in USD. I ordered during an Innisfree sale, if you can’t tell!
- Benton Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream (10x samples) [$4.95]
- The Face Shop Trendy Nails in Trolls Collection TR001 [$5.15]
- Innisfree Perfect UV Protection Cream Triple Care SPF50 PA+++ [$14.16]
- Innisfree Real Color Nail in 32 [$3.90]
- Innisfree Wine Jelly Sleeping Pack [$13.55]
Unfortunately, for the first time ever an item was missing from my order. It was the Face Shop Trolls nail polish, a shimmery fuchsia shade; I suspect it was out-of-stock as the movie/character tie-in products usually go fast. In the past, they have notified me and reimbursed me immediately if anything I’ve ordered is out-of-stock, but I didn’t get such an email this time. I’ve contacted them to see if they can still send it to me, or just reimburse me for it. I’ve never had issues with Cosmetic Love before, so I’m interested to see how this is resolved by their customer service.
[UPDATE 2017-05-12: Cosmetic Love got back to me today and apologized for the mistake. The missing polish is out-of-stock, so they immediately issued a full refund for it. Hooray for great customer service!]
It also just occurred to me that I don’t live too far from an actual Face Shop store; maybe I should have just checked to see if they have the special collection nail polishes.
I do love being able to order samples of skincare at Korean shops! It is so worth it just to be able to try out a product before plunking down for the full sized item.
When I run out of my lovely but discontinued Mamonde Rose Honey Sleeping Mask, this will be next in the queue. The Innisfree packaging is deceptively big considering it holds the same amount (80 mL) as the wee Mamonde jar!
My first time trying Korean sunscreen! This physical sunscreen contains zinc oxide and titanium dioxide; it also has some bonus niacinamide and green tea extract. I’ll give this a go after I finish up a bottle of Shiseido.
This is a newer polish line from Innisfree. (I’ve tried one other Innisfree polish in the past.) I picked this shade off a small swatch, so I’m pleasantly surprised with how cool it looks.
And finally, the usual Tony Moly TomatoX samples! I’m glad I got the Panda’s Dream samples, too. It’s nice to mix it up. No Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum samples, though!
