Collection: L’Oréal Spring 2012, Colour Riche Nail Color
I originally swatched this for a Throwback Thursday post, but then I realized it’s not quite old enough, being from a 2012 collection. So, here it is on a Tuesday!
Tweet Me (101) is an adorable canary yellow with golden shimmer. It is, most unfortunately, on the sheer side.
The name is, obviously, inspired by social media site Twitter, and should you wish to do as the polish says, click here.

Sadly, the polish doesn’t apply evenly, either. If that had been the case, it would make a not terrible topper. But instead, it is rather thin and gloopy, and I used four coats to “achieve” a semi-opaque, streaky finish.
I know that yellow nail polishes can be quite difficult, in general, but this is certainly one of the worst offenders I have encountered.

Do yourself a favor and pass on this, even if you’re a fan of yellow polish!

L’Oréal Colour Riche Nail Color is 0.39 fl oz / 11.7 mL and retails for about US$5.99 / CA$6.99. The polish is free of toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and camphor. It is made in the USA.
L’Oréal was founded in 1909 and is the largest cosmetics company in the world. It is based in Clichy (a suburb of Paris), France. Its first product was a hair dye called Auréale, which presumably led to the development of the company’s present name.
Thanks for the honest review! The color looked nice but it sucks it didn’t apply will.

Yes, it was such a pain! I expected it to be not great, but it was worse, haha.

Aww I hate when products are deceiving!

Wow! Shame about the product quality, it looks fabulous. Very reminiscent of all the stunning yellow dresses on so many red premiere carpets these past couple of years.

Oh yes! I looooove a yellow dress on the red carpet! Michelle Williams, Cate Blanchett, and Renée Zellweger come to mind immediately.

How disappointing! But I guess it’s more of the norm for a yellow polish. I like the name though…

Too bad! I do not like yellow polish in general, but really like the concept of this one – the sparkles somehow make it less offensive :]
