It’s the 6th National Handbag Day!
I actually haven’t acquired any new handbags for some time, nor do I have any seriously on my wishlist. So, to mark the occasion on this blog, I’ll do a quick roundup of 10 bags in my collection that I need to wear more often.
Adrienne Vittadini
Lenox Drawstring Pouch in Silver
I bought this ages ago, and I’m not sure why I rarely use it, since it is actually extremely comfortable to wear and holds a good amount! The leather is soft and subtly metallic. Aaah, I need to dig it out now!
Badgley Mischka
Jill Crossbody in Black
The main reason I don’t wear this as much is that the strap is a bit too long. I need to just go get an extra hole or two punched into the strap.
Chloé
Marcie Medium Satchel in Tan
My second-favorite bag of all-time, and yet, I don’t wear it as often as I should. Honestly, it is heavy and that is why I use it infrequently. Note to self: work out more so you can take Marcie out! Chloé has actually recently released a slightly smaller version of the Marcie which is just perfect for me. Maybe next year…
Fossil
Erin Tote in Pastel Green
I wore this so much the summer I got it! But it’s languished in my closet all last summer, as I wore my J.Crew Signet bag most of the year. Boring, right?
Linea Pelle
Dylan Crossbody Carryall in Moss
I love this bag, despite it’s decidedly ’90s styling. It’s soft and smooshy, not too heavy, and holds tons! The color is just a little tough to pair up with the majority of my clothes. Drab greens are not really my thing. If I could, I’d change the color of this to a sunshine yellow or an intense violet.
Longchamp
Veau Foulonné in Night Blue
This is a gorgeous little souvenir from my first trip to France. I picked it up down the street from the Palais Garnier, if I recall correctly. The bag is beautifully made; it’s just a bit small to be very functional, and it must be handheld. I am more of a shoulder-strap/crossbody kind of girl.
Rachel Nasvik
Phoebe Satchel in Black
No excuses. I love this bag! It’s getting a little beat-up, but that’s part of its charm, now. I must use it this winter.
Rebecca Minkoff
Covet Shoulder Bag in Plum Snake
A little too ladylike for my everyday use. The interior is quite flat, so it’s not great for holding the assorted kids’ stuff I’m usually toting (or even my fat wallet. Ha!). It still makes me swoon a little, though.
Rebecca Minkoff
Morning After Clutch (MAC) in Bombe Blood Red
I have a lot of these little “going out” Rebecca Minkoff MACs and Mini MACs, but I don’t “go out” often enough. Typical!
Rebecca Minkoff
Morning After Mini (MAM) in Periwinkle
MAMs hold tons, so you’d think I’d use them more often, right? Yeah, I don’t know why I don’t use them more. Silly fivezero.
What are you carrying for National Handbag Day?
Earlier today, I carried my Rebecca Minkoff Small Love Crossbody in Beet. Later on, I’ll follow my own advice and switch to the Chloé Marcie…or maybe the Fossil Erin. 👜

So many great bags! I especially like the Chloe one!

Dangit, I forgot it was National Handbag day again.
Oooh I really like that Dylan Crossbody Carryall! Never heard of that brand.
I like that Longchamp bag but the short straps are no-go for me. I have the solid black and a red one…I’m itching to get a purple colour next because I saw someone carrying it. But I suspect it’s a discontinued style.
I’m still carrying my “summer” bag which is Fossil Sydney satchel in Mineral Grey. I’m probably going to just switch over to the black version of that same bag for Winter! 😆
