Chanel, Le Vernis Longwear in Camélia, swatch

Chanel — Camélia (Le Vernis Longwear) Swatch & Review

It is Memorial Day in the US.

Collection: Chanel 2016 Spring, Le Vernis Longwear Nail Colour [Launch]

Whenever I redeem Shoppers Drug Mart’s Optimum Points, I love to get Chanel polishes, since the brand never really goes on sale.

Camélia (506) is from the original launch of Chanel’s reformulated Le Vernis polishes, which I love. They’re so much better than Chanel’s previous polishes that it annoys me to even use those anymore.

Pink is not usually very “me”, but I am often quite drawn to those that are halfway to being red, like Camélia is. It’s a quite-neutral, medium pink cream, which makes it eminently wearable by most skintones, though you can see in the swatch that my yellow-toned skin does make it pull quite warm on the nail. (The bottle color shows the true shade.) Don’t be fooled, as it’s really a perfect, clear shade of cerise.
