Inglot Nail Enamel in 853, swatch

Throwback Thursday! Inglot — 853 (Nail Enamel)

Brand: Inglot

Today’s Throwback Thursday polish comes from Inglot, a Polish brand that opened its first international store in Montréal, Canada back in 2006. A few others followed in Ottawa and Toronto. Those stores were short-lived, but last year, Inglot re-launched both freestanding stores and an online store in Canada.

Back in ’06 or ’07, DH worked near the first Toronto location of Inglot, so he picked up a nail polish for me! It remains the only Inglot polish I own (I’ve since visited the current freestanding store at Dundas Square in Toronto, but only picked up a lipstick).

853 is a deep, vampy purple with very subtle purple and fuchsia shimmer in a glossy, slightly jelly finish.

Inglot Canada Improves Shipping Options

Inglot Canada new shipping options
Image: inglotcanada.ca

Inglot Canada has new and improved shipping options!

Free shipping is now available anywhere in Canada when you spend $65 or more on the website. The standard shipping charge is now $9.95.

I do have access to a freestanding Inglot store, but I found it rather overwhelming the first time I went (so many eyeshadows!) and only bought one lipstick. Online shopping will be more conducive to the way I like to shop: in quiet and comfort, on my computer! Haha! I hope to haul a little Inglot next year…once I find $65 worth of stuff I’d like to try.

Here’s the lipstick I picked up earlier this year:

New Release: Inglot — Matte It Be Collection (O2M Breathable Nail Enamel, Winter 2015)

Collection: Inglot 2015 Winter, Matte It be

Inglot has just released a new collection of deep, wintery Matte finish shades in their existing O2M Breathable Nail Enamel line. This product is supposed to allow air and water to permeate the dried polish and reach the nail.

Apparently, this quality has made the polish popular amongst Muslim women:

While nothing in the Quran references nail polish explicitly, Muslims believe it’s important that water make contact with the nail during a washing ritual ahead of praying.

The collection also includes other matte-finish products:

INGLOT is introducing a matte collection that consists of AMC Eyeliner Gel, Kohl Pencil, and O2M Breathable Nail Enamel Soft Matte available in new trendy colours. Choose from:

– 4 new shades of AMC Eyeliner Gel
– 2 shades of Kohl Pencil
– 8 Shades of O2M Breathable Nail Enamel Soft Matte

Inglot’s O2M Matte It Be collection comes in 8 pastel, matte-finish shades. The polishes are free of toluene, formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and camphor. They are 0.37 fl oz / 11 mL and retail for CA$22. Inglot is available internationally, so you can check out Inglot’s main site for purchase prices and options in other countries.

Sale Alert — Inglot Canada (March 6–8, 2015, Online Only)

Inglot Canada (not affiliated) is having a sale this weekend from March 6–8. With discount code LOVEINGLOT, receive 20% off your purchase. Shipping seems to run about CA$11.95, with free shipping once you spend $100.

I’ve tried Inglot nail polish once (very nice!) back during their first stint in Canada, and now that they have returned for a second launch, I stopped into their local store and picked up a lipstick, which I’ll review soon.

I’ve heard great things about their eyeshadows and their Freedom System palettes. It’s a good time to try out their products if you don’t have a store near you, or if you plan on spending over CA$60 or so. For me, it makes more sense to just go to the store again. I really wanted to try their eyeshadows, but the huge variety on display meant I didn’t have the time to select anything!
