Canadian luxury beauty brand Lise Watier has released their collection for Holidays 2016, Arabesque.
The limited edition collection includes the usual beautifully-packaged makeup palettes, as well as a foundation primer, blush, highlighters, lipglosses, a makeup brush, and a set of two Nail Lacquers: Arabesque and Cerise noire, which are 3 mL (yikes, that’s tiny!) and retail for CA$9.
And, completely unrelated to Friday 13th is the rest of my post today.
Lise Watier, a Québec, Canada-based luxury cosmetic and skincare line, recently released HydraForce, a line of “weatherproof moisturizers.” Even though Lise Watier is pretty much the premier Canadian beauty brand, I’d never actually tried any of their skincare—just their makeup (which tends to be very good). So, I was pretty excited when Glam Sense announced that they’d partnered with Lise Watier and I’d be receiving one of the new moisturizers to try out.
Poor Hugh Dancy, however, is usually seen dressed from head-to-toe in some nondescript combination of Dockers and Eddie Bauer.
But, I digress…
So, via Glam Sense, I received a full-sized tub of one of Lise Watier’s two new facial moisturizer to review. I got the Hydra-Protective Comforting Creme (for normal to dry skin); there is also a Hydra-Protective Creme-Gel for normal to combination skin.
I also received the Hydra-Detect Hydration Tool, which was quite a surprise when I first saw it in the box. I initially thought Lise Watier had just randomly sent some free audio equipment, too! It’s actually a skin hydration tester with a headphone jack that works in concert with your smartphone and the Lise Watier Hydration App (iOS, Android). The Android version has a few horrid reviews saying it didn’t work; I used the iOS version with my ancient iPhone and didn’t experience any issues. It was pretty fun to use!
This week’s post lists nail-related sales at the following stores: beautyBOUTIQUE, Birchbox Canada, Clinique Canada, Forever 21 Canada, Hudson’s Bay, Inglot Canada, Jean Coutu, Lancôme Canada, Lise Watier, MAC Canada, Murale, Nail Polish Canada, Rexall, Sephora Canada, Shoppers Drug Mart, Well.ca, and Yves Rocher Canada.
You can also check out last week’s Black Friday sales post; some of the deals overlap into Cyber Monday.
Free shipping on all purchases through Dec. 31, 2015.
Holiday online GWP. 7-pc plus a limited edition Long Last Soft Matte Lipstick in your choice of three shades. Plus, at the moment you also receive a GWP size Raspberry lipgloss. If you spend $50+, it looks like you also get a Clinique Happy edt mini.
The limited edition collection includes the usual beautifully-packaged makeup palettes, as well as some shimmery eyeshadows and lipglosses, richly-hued lipsticks, new makeup brushes, and a set of four Nail Lacquers: Perfect Spell, Purple Poison, Red Heart, and Seductive Envy.
I’ve never tried this product (only the Lise Watier Light Cap Nail Lacquers), so I need to go check out Purple Poison and Seductive Envy!
Lise Watier Nail Lacquer is 3 mL and retails for C$9. (3 mL seems excessively small; I’m going to have to seek these out in person and see if they really are that teensy!)
I recently hauled from Lise Watier during one of their sales, and today I am reviewing two of the Light Cap Nail Lacquers I received from the 2013 India Gold collection.
I’m just going to quote myself here from a previous review of the Light Cap Nail Lacquers:
[T]heir Light Cap Nail Lacquer line, which is a rather gimmicky product. Its selling point is that there is an LED light built into the cap of the nail polish, which you can turn on and off with a little rubber nubbin of a button on the top of the cap. The light comes out on one side at the base of the cap, denoted by a sort of flare on the side of the cap.… It’s all a bit silly to me, but at least it seems to be a unique, if rather unnecessary, idea.
