Here’s a roundup of SinfulColors’ newest collections for Winter 2017!

No Text Red

This red polish was first released in 2014 as a reminder to not text and drive.
SinfulColors is currently repromoting it on their website.

In 2013, over 3,000 teen deaths & 300,000 injuries occurred nationwide due to texting while driving, surpassing drinking and driving annual teen deaths and injuries by 10%*

SinfulColors Nail Polish in Witch Hazel Bohn, swatch

SinfulColors — Witch Hazel Bohn (Glow-in-the-Dark Nail Polish) Swatch & Review

Collection: SinfulColors 2017 Halloween, Night of the Living Red

You guys are going to help me out with the naming of this one.

Witch Hazel Bohn (2297) is a glow-in-the-dark polish I picked up from SinfulColors’ latest Halloween collection (it may be a re-release from a previous year, though…I can’t quite tell from the code). And I simply do not understand the name. Witch hazel, sure. But Bohn? What’s that? Google has failed me, as well. Is there a pun I’m not getting? Maybe Bohn sounds like bone? But why Bohn?!?!?! Is there someone famous named Hazel Bohn? SinfulColors’ description doesn’t help much, either: “You glow, ghoul! Skull-shaped glitters in a glow in the dark base are drop-dead awesome.

SinfulColors Nail Polish in Witch Hazel Bohn (Glow-in-the-Dark)

I MUST KNOW!

Anyway. As usual, this ostensibly glow-in-the-dark nail polish is a greenish-yellow, and leaves that tint on the nail. Now, I haven’t tried too many glow-in-the-dark polishes in my life, but I literally can never get them to work. I don’t know if it’s because I always cheap out and get them from Claire’s or something, but I put on five coats, charge it under bright light for ages, and they never give me so much as a feeble glow.

SinfulColors — Bite Me (Nail Polish) Swatch & Review

Collection: SinfulColors 2017 Halloween, Night of the Living Red

I don’t always manage to pick up limited edition SinfulColors polishes,
but this fall I lucked out and found a SinfulColors Halloween display at a local Rexall—during a buy-two-get-two-free nail polish promo! (Somehow they weren’t ringing up with the discount, possibly because they were new shades, but the super cool cashier was very sweet and gave me the sale price, anyway. Thanks, chica!)

One of the shades I picked up was Bite Me (2332), which in the bottle appears to be a rich red shimmer with assorted, flat-black glitter shapes, including a sprinkling of hexagons.

SinfulColors says: “This dark brick red shade has flecks of black glitter for a speck-tacular and spooky effect.

SinfulColors Summer 2017 collections

New Releases: SinfulColors (Summer 2017)

I’m always forgetting to post about SinfulColors collections, mostly because it’s hard for me to find new Sinful collections where I am (only the core collection is easily available). Come on, Sinful! You’ve got Revlon’s distribution behind you and I still can’t find your LE displays?!

Anyway, I’m posting summer and fall collections in two batches. This post contains the Summer 2017 collections. Obviously, this is late—and these collections have already disappeared from the SinfulColors website!—but you may still be able to find the displays and collections near you.

The Trend 80’s Flashback: Color Eccentric

This collection consists of 7 limited edition nail colors: 7 intense neons and 1 white that is meant for a neon undercoat:

SinfulColors Nail Colour in Mint Apple, swatch

Throwback Thursday! SinfulColors — Mint Apple (Nail Colour) Swatch & Review

Brand: SinfulColors

Today’s Throwback Thursday polish is Mint Apple (947), which I first posted about last week.

I don’t actually know when it was first released, but it has reviews on MUA going back to 2010, so it’s at least that old. It remains in Sinful’s core collection.

It’s a happy-looking light jade green with icy silver shimmer. Super pretty, and only a couple of bucks at the drugstore. What’s not to like?

The formula is reasonably easy to apply and fully opaque with two coats.

I think this is a unique enough color to pick up, considering how inexpensive it is!
