I love checking out the beauty section at my local Winners (that’s TJ Maxx or Marshalls to the USA, and TK Maxx to UK & Ireland!), because I almost always score something nifty.
This time, it was Laura Mercier’s short-lived nail polish line that peered out at me from behind a row of CND and Seche nail treatments. There were just a couple of shades, so I picked the most colorful one (figures that Laura Mercier’s nail colors would be pretty neutral!), Reckless.
The packaging is fairly in line with what you would expect from a nail polish that retailed for US$18: the glass bottle is squared and the outer cap is decorative (like that of Chanel and Butter London polishes). The inner cap is small, cylindrical, and is totally smooth, which is not the best combination for a nail polish cap! Grips or a less round design would have been much handier. The brush itself is slim and slightly wide.
